DScaleris a piece of software that grabs analog, interlaced video, anddeinterlaces it to make it a progressive scan feed then allows scalingto
any resolution for use on your computer monitor or projector. DScaler is not recommended for the beginners.
DScaler packages a variety of functions, including:
a.. Grabbing video from a DVD player, game console, laserdisc, or VCR in a reliable fashion, in either analog or digital form.
b.. Deinterlacing video source, such as sports and news produced with a video camera , as well as console games.
c.. Detecting and removing 2:2 pulldown (PAL) and 3:2 pulldown (NTSC) for movies and filmed television programs.
d.. Reducing video noise on analog sources.
e.. Automatically calibrating video capture cards for optimal brightness, contrast and color.
f.. Manipulating video through gamma, sharpness and other filters.
g.. Viewing still images.
h.. Reducing judder and other video timing anomalies. and
i.. Presenting all of the above in the desired resolution and aspect
ratio.
Requirements:
a.. Tested on 98, ME and Windows 2000/XP.
b.. You will need a processor faster than about Pentium II 400MHz to use all the features.
c.. You will definitely need a PCI TV card with a BT848 BT849 BT878 BT879 in it.
d.. You will a graphics card that supports YUY2 overlays and has enough video memory spare for the video buffers DScaler uses.
e.. This software will not work with the video in sections of ATI
All-in-Wonder or Matrox TV cards. These multifunction cards are supported for output though.

- The chances of DScaler hanging or crashing your system are greatly reduced.
- Sometimes explorer.exe hangs for a while when starting DScaler.When this happens and DScaler is started a second time dscaler.ini isnot corrupted any longer.
- Fixed problem caused by Antivir.
- Improved resume after suspend.
- Fixed several problems that resulted in unnecessarily high cpu usage.
- DScaler shutdown is now much faster
